DJamie
Hi, I’m DJamie, a 12-year-old DJ from North West Leicestershire with a passion for music that knows no bounds. Despite being partially deaf from birth and living with mild autism, I’ve never let challenges hold me back. Instead, they’ve inspired me to approach music in unique and creative ways, proving that nothing can stop you from pursuing what you love. I’ve been learning to DJ for over two and a half years, building my skills and developing my own style. From Electro Disco and Vocal Deep House to Progressive House, Melodic Techno, and my personal favourite Liquid Drum & Bass every track I spin is a chance to tell a story and connect with others through music. One of my favourite things to do is create mashups, blending 2 or 3 tracks into something completely fresh and exciting. Whether it’s live on stage or at home experimenting with new sounds, I love pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Collecting music for the past two years has also been a big part of my journey, and I’ve had the privilege of performing live sets across North West Leicestershire, sharing my passion for dance music with local audiences. Being partially deaf has taught me to feel music in a deeper way, connecting to its rhythm and energy beyond sound. Living with mild autism has given me a unique perspective on creativity, helping me focus on the details and find joy in the process. Together, these experiences drive me to inspire others to embrace their own passions, no matter what challenges they face. So, join me on for fresh beats, epic mashups, and a story that proves music truly has no limits. This is just the beginning for DJamie, and I can’t wait to share the journey with you!
Alfie Whatnall
a.k.a. Alfie Vinyl Hunter and Alt Rock Enthusiast Hi, I’m Alfie, and music has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve got a soft spot for tracks that sound different, exciting, and a little off the beaten path. Whether it’s punk or pop, old or new, I love discovering music that surprises me and sharing it with others. One of my favourite hobbies is collecting vinyl, hunting through second-hand record shops to uncover hidden gems that deserve a spin. When I’m not crate-digging or adding to my collection, you might find me strumming my guitar (with varying results) or indulging my passion for cult and horror films, a love that led me to study film and TV at college. Tune in to my show for a mix of your favourite alt-rock hits, alongside a diverse selection of unique tracks and genres waiting to become your new favourites. If it’s different, exciting, or just downright cool, you’ll hear it right here on Coalville Public Radio!
Julian Constable
Hi, I’m Julian Constable, and I’ve always been drawn to the sounds that break the mould and challenge the norm. From the raw power of rock and metal to the electric atmosphere of live gigs, music is more than a passion for me it’s a way of life. I’ve spent years diving deep into the world of alternative music, embracing the anthems, the energy, and the stories that make the genre so unique. As a regular gig-goer, I thrive on the buzz of live performances and love bringing those experiences to listeners through The Only Alternative. On my show, you’ll hear everything from hard-hitting metal and rebellious rock to the best of live recordings and underground discoveries. It’s all about celebrating the music that defies conventions and keeps the spirit of alternative alive. Join me every week for The Only Alternative, where the volume’s high, the riffs are heavy, and the music is anything but ordinary only on Coalville Public Radio!
Julie Campbell-Hall
Hi, I’m Julie Campbell-Hall, and I’ve always been fascinated by the darker side of storytelling—the kind that sends shivers down your spine and keeps you hooked until the very end. That’s exactly what inspired me to create True Twisted Tales, a show that dives into the worlds of true crime and the supernatural. Each week, I bring you two gripping tales: one based on real-life crimes, exploring the who, what, and why behind the events, and another with a supernatural twist that ventures into the mysterious and unexplained. My passion for uncovering the details and sharing compelling stories means every episode is packed with insights and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. So, if you love a good mystery, a chilling twist, or stories that stay with you long after they’re told, join me for True Twisted Tales—only on Coalville Public Radio!
