Tasha

Hi, I’m Tasha. I’m new to radio, but I’ve always loved sharing music that makes people smile, sing along, or remember a moment. My taste runs from 50s classics to modern tracks, with a big soft spot for 80s synths. When I’m not on air, I’m with my family, pets and playlists, or recharging by the sea.

Simon Toesland.png

Simon Toseland

Hi, I’m Simon. I’ve been involved in radio for around 17 years and still love it as much as day one. I enjoy sharing great songs, chatting with listeners and being out in the community at local events. Away from the mic I collect watches, go kart when I can, follow Formula One and unwind with The Beautiful South and a bit of adult colouring..

Austin Holmes.png

DJ Ozdog

WAZAAAAP YOU ROCKAHOLICS!!! I’ve been hooked on rock music for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was surrounded by the sounds of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Black Sabbath and I quickly realised this wasn’t just music, it was a way of life. I used to sneak my dad’s old vinyls onto the turntable and crank the volume until the walls shook. That early obsession never left me.

John Sinclair.png

John Sinclair

Hi, I’m John. I’ve spent decades in broadcasting, from hospital radio in the 70s to BBC local radio, covering everything from American football and cricket to football at Leicester City and the Tigers. I’ve interviewed bands like Pulp and Björk and still love mixing sport with music. Now at CPR, I’m here to share both passions with listeners across the area.

Emms Peters.png

Emz

Hi, I’m Emz. Radio has been a dream since I grew up listening to local presenters and my mum’s Easy Listening favourites like The Rat Pack. I’ve spent years on the dancefloor with Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle, and I love 70s, 80s and a good boyband track. Off air I’m a mum, wife to fellow CPR presenter Kenny, and a loyal Nottingham Forest fan.

DJJamie.png

DJamie

Hi, I’m DJamie, a 12-year-old DJ from North West Leicestershire. I’m partially deaf and autistic, but that’s never stopped me loving music. I play Electro Disco, Vocal Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic Techno and especially Liquid Drum & Bass. I’m always creating mashups, building my collection and playing live sets, proving that if you love something enough, nothing can hold you back.

Alfie.png

Alfie Whatnall

Hi, I’m Alfie. I love music that’s a bit different, from alt rock and punk to unexpected gems you might not have heard before. I’m a keen vinyl hunter, digging through crates for records that deserve another spin. When I’m not doing that, I’m playing guitar with varying success, or enjoying cult and horror films after studying film and TV at college.

Rob.png

Rob Lubbock

Hi, I’m Rob. I present Solid Gold Sunday on CPR and have been involved in radio for almost ten years. I love sharing music from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and putting together an eclectic mix for a relaxed Sunday afternoon. Off air, I’m happiest listening to music, planning new features, and getting ready for the next show behind the mic.

Julian Constable.png

Julian Constable

Hi, I’m Julian. Rock and metal have been the soundtrack to my life, along with the energy of live gigs. I’ve spent years exploring alternative music, from classic riffs to new underground bands. On my show, The Only Alternative, I bring you heavy guitars, powerful anthems and live favourites, celebrating the music that refuses to play by the rules.

Hi, I’m Julie. I’ve always loved storytelling, from exploring real-life crime and unexplained events to sharing music that lifts the mood. I previously hosted True Twisted Tales, where I delved into true crime and the supernatural. I now present Kinetic, bringing feel-good old-school dance classics to Saturday nights. If you enjoy engaging stories or music that sparks memories, you’re in the right place.

For me, Blues is music for the soul, from its roots in the Mississippi Delta to its influence on modern genres. Join me and feel the Blues with me.

Hi, I’m Jim. I grew up in Coalville in the 80s and clubbed through the 90s, so my taste covers pretty much every party tune going. I started in radio over 20 years ago with my mate Dave Potter on hospital, local and community stations, plus the odd podcast. Off air, I referee and umpire locally and coach my son’s football team.

Hi, I’m Graham. I’ve spent over 40 years in local brass bands as a player and Musical Director, and I’ve been a fan of film and TV music since the early 70s. I’ve seen many of the great composers in concert and built a large soundtrack collection. On CPR I share that passion, offering two hours of pure movie music escapism.

Harry P.png

Harry Parsons

Hi, I’m Harry. My love of radio started at Hermitage FM, where I presented a weekly sports show. These days I mainly play 70s and 80s tracks, the music I grew up hearing around the house. Away from CPR I follow non-league football, especially Coalville Town and Leicester City, and I enjoy making short films with friends for YouTube.

Giovanni Sepede

Hi, I’m Giovanni, or Gio on air. I’ve been on radio for over 30 years, from hospital radio to community stations across Leicestershire. My taste runs from pop hits to traditional Italian favourites, with room for plenty in between. I especially love live sports broadcasting and following Coalville Town. At CPR I’m proud to mix great music, local sport and community spirit.

Cliff King.png

Cliff King

Hi, I’m Cliff. I’ve lived and breathed radio for decades, with stints at stations including CRMK, KCBC, Harborough FM and Hermitage FM. For me, radio is about memories, good company and great music.

When I’m not out on my Vespa, I’m behind the mic sharing music and memories with the community. At CPR I’m proud to be part of a station that champions local voices.

Colin Holmes2.png

Colin Holmes

Hi, I’m Colin. Music’s been part of my life since childhood, when my mum’s piano playing filled the house. I love many styles, but Soul will always be my first love. Away from the studio I’m usually working on classic cars and bikes, following NASCAR or cheering on the New York Rangers. If it’s loud, soulful or fast, I’m interested.

Dave Hyde1.png

Dave Hyde

Hi, I’m Dave, Station Manager at Coalville Public Radio. I believe CPR works best as a team effort – we’re only as good as each other. I’ve carried out over 250 interviews, sharing stories from across entertainment and our community. Away from the desk I’m a family man who enjoys films, music and creative projects that help bring people together.

On CPR I bring that experience to a weekly trip back in time, packed with stories, classics and pure nostalgia.

I fell in love with radio through pirate stations and began volunteering at Carillon Radio in 2007 as a presenter, engineer and fundraiser. Later I created Easy Sunday, mixing music from the 50s to today with friendly features. Now I’m delighted to bring it to CPR.

John Rabold.png

John Rabold

Hi, I’m J.R. from Indiana, host of Crossroads of Americana. I grew up on country, rock and roots music that tell real stories. When I’m not on air, I’m adding to my record collection, driving my 1996 Buick hearse or spending time with my cats. I also work in organ and tissue donation. On CPR I share the heart of Americana with you.
