WAZAAAAP YOU ROCKAHOLICS!!! I’ve been hooked on rock music for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was surrounded by the sounds of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Black Sabbath and I quickly realised this wasn’t just music, it was a way of life. I used to sneak my dad’s old vinyls onto the turntable and crank the volume until the walls shook. That early obsession never left me.

Now I get to bring that same energy and passion to Coalville Public Radio with DJ Ozdog’s Rock Hour, every Saturday at 6pm. My show is all about more than just playing songs, it’s about reliving those big moments. The first time you heard a riff that made your hair stand on end, the chorus that still makes you sing like nobody’s watching, and the kind of tracks that keep the spirit of rock alive.

When I’m not behind the mic, I’m out living it. I love the freedom of riding my motorcycle, the buzz of picking up my guitar, and I’ve always got time for old films and good food. And if there’s a mosh pit going, you can bet I’ll be in there.

Why do I do it? Simple. Rock has always been about connection. The buzz of the crowd, the power of the riff, the feeling that you’re part of something bigger. Every show is a chance to share stories, celebrate the legends, and introduce you to tracks that deserve to be cranked up to eleven.

So grab your air guitar, step into the pit and join me every Saturday at 6pm. Let’s crank it up and make some noise, because when it comes to rock, louder is always better!
