Hi, I’m Giovanni.

Most people know me as Gio. I’ve been sharing my love of music and sport on the air for more than 30 years. From hospital radio to community radio, I’ve had the privilege of being part of Leicestershire’s broadcasting scene, and it has been an incredible journey.

My musical tastes are as varied as they come, ranging from pop hits to traditional Italian sounds and everything in between. I’m just as comfortable playing ABBA as I am ZZ Top, and I enjoy sharing both new releases and timeless favourites.

One of the biggest thrills for me is broadcasting live, especially when it comes to sport. There is something electric about keeping listeners up to date as the goals go in, and I have been lucky enough to cover local football, especially my beloved Coalville Town.

Being part of CPR gives me the chance to bring music, sport and entertainment together while supporting a station with strong community connections.
