Hi, I’m Jim.

I was born and bred in Coalville, growing up in the 80s and enjoying the club scene through the 90s. Those years gave me a taste for music that covers just about everything. If it is a party tune, there is a good chance it will find its way onto my show.

I started in radio more than 20 years ago with my partner in crime, Dave Potter, at Hospital Radio Fox. Since then, we have worked together at Ashby Radio and Hermitage FM, presenting everything from breakfast shows to the drive home.

We have also tried podcasting, somehow finding more listeners in America than closer to home. During the Covid years, I even had a go at presenting on my own, although Dave was missed.

You’ll hear me on Saturday Social with Dave every Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. The show is packed with party tunes, daft features, fun conversations, guests and plenty of taking the mickey out of each other.

I also cover football for CPR, take part in outside broadcasts and enjoy taking Saturday Social on tour so we can meet listeners and be part of local events.

Away from the microphone, I’m a football referee, cricket umpire and coach for my son’s football team. Join me on CPR for party favourites, plenty of laughs and a proper Saturday afternoon.
