Hi, I’m Simon. I’ve been involved in radio for around 17 years and it’s something I still love just as much as when I first started. There’s nothing better than sharing great songs, chatting with listeners and being part of a community that loves music as much as I do.

Over the years I’ve also been part of many outside broadcasts and local events. I really enjoy getting out and about, meeting people and being involved with the community. It’s what local radio is all about and one of the reasons I love being part of Coalville Public Radio.

Away from the studio I’ve got a few hobbies that keep me busy. I collect watches and have built up quite a collection over the years. I enjoy go karting whenever I can and I’m a big Formula One fan, always keeping an eye on the latest races and results.

When it comes to music, my favourite band of all time is The Beautiful South. I’ve got every album they’ve ever released and still play them all regularly. My all-time favourite film is Back to the Future, which I’ve probably watched more times than I’d like to admit.

When I’m not on air, I like to relax with a bit of adult colouring. It’s a great way to unwind and switch off from the world for a while.
