John Rabold

Host of Crossroads of Americana TM

Hi, I’m John Rabold, but most folks know me as J.R., and I’ve always been captivated by music that tells a story. Growing up in Indiana the “Crossroads of America” I fell in love with the rich sounds of Americana, country, and rock. It’s this passion that inspired me to create Crossroads of Americana, a show where I can share the music that moves me and the stories that bring it to life.

When I’m not on the air, you’ll find me indulging in a few of my favourite pastimes. Whether it’s digging through my ever-growing record collection, driving my 1996 S&S Buick Victoria Hearse, or spending time with my furry family, I’m always chasing the next great story. Speaking of my cats, they keep life interesting Stevie Ray, Miss Lou Ann Barton, Della, Kalamazoo, and the newest additions, Robert Johnson (RJ) and Frogger, are always by my side.

Outside of music, I’m dedicated to making a difference through my work in organ and tissue donation, a cause close to my heart. For me, Crossroads of Americana is more than just a show; it’s a way to connect with the soul of the music and with listeners who share that same passion.

Thanks for tuning in, and I hope you’ll join me as we explore the stories, sounds, and heart of Americana music together!
